Below is a rough guide of a small selection of what your money can help to buy. Prices will vary on where we purchase our supplies, and we will endeavour to get the best price for any items bought.

£1 or $2 = 6 x packets of rehydration salts
£2.50 or $5 = 100 x pre-injection swabs to help prevent infection
£5 or $10 = 100 x latex non-sterile disposible gloves or a digital thermometer
£10 or $20 = Stethoscope
£15 or $30 = Oxygen resuscitator bag
£25 or $50 = Sphygomometer (manual blood pressue cuff)
£50 or $100 = Otoscope (device to look into peoples ears)
£100 or $200 = Hospitalization and treatment of approximately 5 malnourished children
£150 or $300 = Opthalmoscope (device used to look into peoples eyes)
£250 or $500 = A research programme.
£300 or $600 = Pulse oximeter (measures the concentration of oxygen in your finger)
£3000 or $6000= Biphasic rechargable defibrilator (used when the heart stops)

Any donation of second-hand or out of date medical equipment or stock would be also be grately appreciated.
